I grew up with Catherineholm pieces in my house. I ate cereal every morning out of the blue on blue lotus leaf bowls (seen here), all the while never realizing I was dipping my spoon into something so iconic. Thanks for having such great taste Mom. Today, I absolutely adore the lotus leaf patterned enamel pieces and I really think they look as good in a modern kitchen as they must have fifty years ago. And to top it all off, the the company was based in Norway, my motherland. Now what's not to like?
The company has been closed for decades, but you can still find Catherineholm enamel kitchenware at vintage stores and, of course, online. Find the pieces you see above: here, here, here, and here.
